Paris to Bayeux

Train

The best way to get to Bayeux is the high-speed rail. From Paris it is a 2 hour train ride. From the airport you can take a taxi or the RER B train to the train station. The train station in Bayeux has a taxi stand, or is about a 15 minute walk to the city center. Take the train to Caen (one stop before Bayeux) if you plan on renting a car, because there are no car rentals in Bayeux.

Airport Transfer

If you prefer a direct ride to your accommodation in Bayeux from Paris, we recommend Bessin Location who can be booked at an extra cost. It is approximately a 3 hour drive from the airport. Click on the link to contact them or email accueil@bessin-location.fr .

Driving

The city of Bayeux can be entirely explored car-free.

If you're looking to explore areas like the beaches of Normandy consider going with a guided tour. If you choose to rent a car you can either do so from the Paris airports (this is about a 3 hour drive with tolls), or take the train to Caen where there are a few large rental car agencies. Caen is about a 30 min drive from Bayeux. Renting directly from the agency is usually preferable.

Flying

Flights to Paris

To fly to Paris, it's best to book directly with the airline. You can find the cheapest dates and fares using Google Flights. CDG or ORY are both good options to get to Paris, and from there to continue to Bayeux.

(You should have a passport with at least 6 months validity from your date of departure)

Where to Stay

Staying in Bayeux gives you lots of options and is very walkable to restaurants and bars, cafes, guided tours and lots of history.

While there is no room block, we put down some options that we recommend here -- there are also many more in town. It's best to book directly with the hotel.

The shuttle transport to the venue will pick up from central Bayeux, near the Villa Lara Hotel.
